Hi, I’m Destinie — the proud owner and groomer behind Parkside Groomery. My love for animals started young, and at 16 I stepped into the world of grooming by washing dogs at my aunt’s salon. My aunt had first built her career as a veterinary hospital manager before opening her own grooming salon and pet store, and her knowledge, dedication, and compassion lit the spark that grew into my own lifelong passion.

From that first summer on, I knew I had found my calling. I began immersing myself in every part of the industry — diving into canine nutrition to help pet parents support their dogs’ whole-body health, training under experienced groomers who taught me the techniques that shape my work today, and attending countless industry seminars to stay ahead of the latest standards and practices. Each step built my skills, but more importantly, it deepened my belief that grooming is not just about appearance — it’s about comfort, trust, and overall well-being.

With over 20 years of experience, I created Parkside Groomery to reflect everything I’ve learned: that every dog deserves patient, gentle care in an environment where they feel safe and loved. Grooming should be a positive, stress-free experience — and that’s exactly what we strive to deliver every day.

Outside of the salon, my world is filled with love from my sons, Daniel, Maxx, and our rescue pup, Bravo. They remind me daily why I chose this path — because pets aren’t just companions, they’re family. And when you bring your dog to Parkside Groomery, they’ll be treated with the same care and compassion I give my own.
